The focus of this vocal workshop—spanning two weekends—is to explore the joy of singing the vast and diverse canon of beautiful masterpieces written for all voice types and genres, ranging from early music to contemporary pieces. Activities include daily breath clinics, ear training, and sight-reading sessions. Dedicated independent rehearsal time is provided for participants, who will have access to Crowden’s state-of-the-art studio facilities. Participants will have the opportunity to coach early music vocal chamber repertoire with esteemed early music specialists: keyboardist Katherine Heater and gamba player Farley Pearce. French Art Song will be coached by distinguished collaborative artist Miles Graber and vocal faculty soprano Ann Moss. Vocal coaching and private lessons will be assigned with workshop director, soprano Vanessa Langer. The workshop culminates in an informal concert on its final day, where participants showcase their progress for family and friends.
